Some vehicle manufacturers lock their control units to prevent tampering. We are able to remove these locks on many different vehicles, allowing for flash tuning.
Which vehicle manufacturers lock their control modules?
Many manufacturers choose to lock their powertrain control units to prevent unauthorized access to the software contained within, including Alfa Romeo, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, GMC, Jeep, Volvo, and others. We are able to remove the factory locks on many control units via a software patch, whether it be an ECU, TCU or DME, allowing for flash tuning of the vehicle by a professional tuner (like us) or by the vehicle owner utilizing a handheld or other type of tuning device.
